Shopping

I met my friend M. today in the city. We were shopping clothes and accessories, which was fun but exhausting. Before I left home, I thought of not buying anything, because I'm running out of money, but in the end I found pants, a scarf and a top. After shopping those, I forbid myself to buy more things for a while. Not even a cute piece of jewellery! After all, I know I need these new stuff, at least the pants! So no judging.

Meeting her was pleasant, we had so much to talk about. We haven't seen each other for almost two months, and that feels like a long time. It feels like M. is the same person as before; nice, funny, always happy and pretty, and that's a good thing of course. :) Who knows when we meet again, maybe she comes here again for the Easter holiday. I hope so.

Being sick...

...is boring and it kind of sucks. :( The first couple of days it can be fun doing things at home; like reading, watching tv, being on the computer and sleeping late. But now I've done those things (and of course a lot more than those ones) and I'm bored. I know I have a lot to do for my exams (which are in two weeks!) but I don't have the energy to do work in the subjects, at least not right now.

Even so, today I was in school because of my gym course. I had to be there, even if I'm sick, because I'm going to be off some of my lessons later on. I took it easy. I didn't want to sweat and exert myself, because it would not help me get well. After some exercise I went to the grocery store and then home. It was nice being at least a little outside, doing something else than being home.

Tonight I'm going to bake a banana cake. It's a new recipe, so it will be fun trying to make something I've never done before. I hope it will be good. Haha, now an old memory popped up in my head! When I was a little girl I used to say (in Finnish); "Älä tule paha kakku, tule hyvä kakku" when I made mud cakes on the backyard. :D Translated it would be about; "Don't be a bad cake, be a good cake".

My passion

I think I know what my passion is, at least it has felt like that for a while. This is not a suprise for those who knows me well, but I want to share this fact anyway. My biggest passion (at least for now) is JEWELLERY!!! :D Surprised?

I love jewellery! It's always hard to explain what I love in them and why, but jewellery are so beautiful! In my opinion every piece of jewellery is special and gives a memory. Every time I wear a piece of jewellery I think of whom I got it from and other relating memories that pop up in my head. Usually that makes me happy and smile :)

Sometimes I feel like I strengthen my style and my confidence by using jewellery, because it shows others who I am as a person. Especially with those jewellery which are more unique than others, which means jewellery that are more rare to be seen, for ex. a clothes hanger-jewellery. But also those with symbols, as "peace" and words that are meningful for me like "carpe diem", feels good to wear.

 I like to shop jewellery for myself and for others. When I'm kind of broke :P  I try not to go near a jewellery stand to avoid the temptation to buy new jewellery. Usually I wear jewellery outside and on special occasions, but sometimes even at home.

Ski holiday

Today morning I came home again. I had a really great holiday with my family. We skied slalom for three days. The longest time in the slopes for a day was 5 hours (of course I had a break, could not do it otherwise) but in the evening I was totally tired. I just watched a few "Friends" parts (the American tv-serie) on the sofa and spent some time with my family.

I have to say, I really enjoyed skiing. It was so funny to ski down the slopes with a tremendous speed. At the same time I got exercise, mostly the legs. I skied last time about two years ago, because last year I was sick. Before this holiday I had some feelings that I would have forgot how to ski, okay not literally (of course I don't have problems to know how to ski), but I had fears that I would not manage to ski as good as before. But no, it went well! :)

The whole trip was excellent, except for one thing; I came home with a cold. Now I have a sore throat and I feel a little sick. I had not planned this... Well, probably I should feel lucky having a cold when coming home and not the other way around. But now I can't go to the gym for a while.

Yeah, yeah, done with the complaining. It's actually good to be home again, home sweet home <3

Packing...

Today, I'm still "yr i knoppen" (=dizzy)  after the cruise, I think I have lack of sleep. I'm in the middle of packing warm clothes, books and other important stuff for my journey to Norway with my family. This is going to be our ski holiday. In a couple of hours we're sitting in the car driving away from home.

Tomorrow night we will arrive to the cottage we're going to rent for almost a week. So no Internet for over a week! Oh no! :( I can't blog, you have to survive without me... :-P

Toyota, is not the car I'm advertising for, because we own a Volkswagen! :P Haha, I don't think you understood that joke :D but anyway, I'm in a bit of a hurry here; must keep packing you know.

Abi-Abi-Abi !!!

Jaa-a, de senaste veckorna har jag haft mycket program. Två slutprov gjorda (i engelska och svenska) och om en månad har jag två till. För drygt 2 veckor sedan hade vi abi-middag, som går ut på att abi:na äter middag med skolans lärare och sedan hade vi efterfest. Det var en lyckad dag! :)

Igår kom jag hem från abi-kryssningen. Vi hade bänkskuddardagen, eller även kallad; "penkkis" på torsdag. Då hade vi så klart "Abi-spexet" som var otroligt roligt med alla skämt om lärarna. Sedan åkte vi på lastbilsflaken runt omkring med "abi-haalarna" på oss. Festandet hade redan börjat för många och den lyckliga känslan spred sig till alla då vi i glädjerop skrek; "Abi-Abi-Abi!". Vi kastade godis åt små barn och andra glada människor som förstod varför vi var så lyckliga.

Kryssningen var även lyckad, jag delade hytt med en del av mina vänner. Vi festade länge i nattklubben tills vi inte orkade mera. Hela båten gungade så även att gå och dansa var utmanande. Vi sov nästan inte alls, eller i varje fall mådde jag så illa (p.g.a. båtens häftiga gungande på natten) att jag blev sjösjuk. Som tur spydde jag ändå inte. Men jo, fiilisen var mega bra! :)

Thanks to Goodreads.com I've found new, great books to read! :) And if you think there's probably just English books and authors, you're wrong! I've found at least Swedish -and Norwegian authors besides the English.

I certainly enjoy reading books, especially fantasy and romance mixed up. ;)

I miss summer..

I browsed my photo collection on my computer today and I found plenty of pictures from last summer. I have to say, I miss summer so much! I was like; "Aaah, summer! I want it to be summer now!" and then I started counting months I have to wait. It's at least a couple of months of waiting until the snow has melted. The white, fluffy snow is actually nice, I just don't like the freezing winter we have. You know those months you really have to think about what to wear (to school or out) so you won't freeze and get a cold. Sometimes it feels difficult to choose right clothes for cold weather...

But hey, in a couple of weeks I'm actually going on a trip with my family. You probably think I'm going to say we are going to a warm location! But no, we will go north for skiing. And that's something we always do at the same time of year. And that's really nice, I like to ski. After that week of skiing I know I've done everything for this winter. Then I more and more wait for the spring (and summer) to come.

Back to summer thoughts! I want to share some nature photos from last summer. I've taken most of the pictures, but some of them are taken by my family. Some of the photos are taken abroad.

Seth Aaron

Once again, I dreamed about a celebrity! This is like my... 5th time in a couple of months, WEIRD!!! :D

Anyway, this time I was eating with some people, (I don't even remember with whom) and then suddenly there he is; Seth Aaron Henderson, a designer from the television serie Project Runway (7th season winner). He has a special style; often wearing just black and a little punk/rock clothes.. And I'm not like that, but now I've totally changed; wearing black clothes, cut my hair and looking really different (in the dream of course)!

And then I start FLIRTING with him! Why?! What's my problem?? He is married! He has kids! AND he lives in Washington, America, far away from me!! I have practically nothing to do with him, expect that I followed him on tv when he made beautiful clothes in Project Runway. :) I must say that he is actually pretty handsome, but almost twice my age! I've not thought about him in that way... But he seems to have a great imagination and talent, because his clothes are awesome in so many ways! :)

Anyway, I have to confess, I actually did wish for having these kinds of dreams consisting of celebrities, so I shouldn't complain.. Instead, I laugh when I think about him :D

Briefly about my birthday

Gaaah, it's almost 2 weeks since I wrote last time.... I'm sorry, but I've had so many things to do. I could talk about those things, but I don't think you would care. Instead, I briefly tell about my birthday (about 1,5 week ago).

My family woke me in the morning while singing and I even got breakfast in bed! What a luxury! :) I got a new cellphone from my parents, yay thanks! :D

I celebrated with my friends in the evening (& night). I invited my nearest friends; three Hannas, S., J., E. and M. Sadly, one of the Hannas and M. could not make it. But we had fun anyway! :) I made some tortillas and we ate together. I got great presents, thanx sweeties! :)

After that, we went to a bar in the city. Some of us bought a couple of drinks and then we danced all night long... We even met other friends from school! :) I and some of my friends got to dance with foreign guys, that was suprisingly fun! And charming ;)

Afterwards, (in the night) we all went home. I had some ringning in my ears (because of the loud, thumping music playing all night) and had a little problems to sleep, but it was worth it! This felt like one of the best birthdays ever! :D
