The last couple of weeks I've mostly been away from home. That's why I haven't had the time to update my blog. July 14th
I went north to meet my Grandparents and cousins with my family. My dad is on holiday so we all went. It was nice to meet my relatives again, after being apart for 6 months. But it's always been like this, we live far away from them. Anyway, we were there a couple of days,
the first day we hiked in the woods. The weather wasn't the best and the mosquitos bothered us, but otherwise it was very beautiful there.

To get over to the other side of the river, we had to use this. |
My dad and my brothers had
a goal to bike about 450 km on a couple of days. That's the distance from my Grannys to our home. So they tried and almost made it!
They biked about 320 km on three days. That's incredible!! :D Then they decided to give up, 'cause we ran out of time and we all had to get home. Mom and I had the car, we tried to be as near the bikers as possible. If something happend, we were there.

We were
six days away and it felt nice to be home again. Mom and I were a little
bored from the "sitting-in-the-car" journey, so it was good to be home and be able to do other stuff. To come home we had to drive through the countryside for hours and it made me realize I wouldn't feel at home there. The hours of each day they biked, my mom and I sat in the car, hiked, went to museums and shopped. But honestly, in small villages there wasn't much to see.
It made me think I'm so lucky living in a (big?) city.
