Achilles tendon injury

Two months ago I hurt my both feet; the ankles. Now they've healed, but my feet still aches. The calves of my feet plus heels are in bad condition. I had a doctor check my feet yesterday and I finally got an diagnosis; my achilles tendons are inflammated. Oh my... :O No wonder I have trouble with walking. I can't even walk barefoot at home; I must use indoor shoes, but still it aches. Sleeping without drugs is painful, fortunately I'm now on drug cure to normalize the irritation on the achilles tendons. And it helps for the pain too.

The treatment will cost a lot. And take time. I'm not happy with this, but it's a relief to know what I can do to help my feet heal. No tennis and running in weeks (or even months)... :( But calm exercise at the gym can be possible in a short time, maybe even next week. That means (muscle) strenght training only for the upper body; some weight lifting.

Physical therapy will be included to my treatment, but me and my parents haven't decided which medical company we want to use for this. The price of the treatment and the physiotherapists' knowledge of massaging and healing feet are in priority. We should find a good therapist soon.

I've never had a sports injury on this level of injury. Three years ago I sprained my foot twice in 2 months, but I overcame that pretty fast and easily; just by resting and not burden it too much. It was (and is still) important to think of what to wear; sneakers are looking great on but are bad for the feet...

Now it's just to try to think positive about this; I have a good reason to take it easy and do things that can be as funny as exercising. I can spend more time to watch movies, read, write, paint my nails, be with my family and much more. This weekend I'll mostly be inside, but eventually I can take short, but calm, walks to parks; sunbath in the early spring. I want to walk outside and take photos of the coming spring.

Right now we still have snow on the ground, but soon it will melt. Hopefully :)
